Skincare Highlights + The Body Shop

03 September

One of my resolutions this year is to take great care of skin. Fortunately, I was able to fulfill it and has been very strict at it. This month specifically is probably most consistent I've been when it comes to concentrating on the needs of my skin. So I thought I'd share with you a few products on my skin regimen.

Celeteque Sun Care Matte Moisturizer: Sun screen has been the one I’ve neglected ever since I’ve established my skin care because it’s really hard to layer a sun screen and a moisturizer without feeling a little heavy on the face. So thank God for I have found a moisturizer with enough spf for an everyday use, aaand it’s a drugstore product! for those of you peeps on a budget like me. The only con I could say is that it does have the formulation and texture of a typical sun screen so it’s quite dragging and sticky on application.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet: This one right here is the moisturizer that my skin have been loving recently, It has been a looong journey searching for the perfect moisturizer especially when you're still new to skin care and sort of doing it alone without any help from experts so, when I started using this for my night time routine, I saw how hydrated and glowing my skin is the next day and I've been using it religiously since. Note that it has a slightly strong scent, if you're a filipino kid, this literally smells like the fruit ice candies in tubes that you break in half.

The Body Shop Vitamin C Skin Boost: My skin has it's days where it's just dull and has dry patches mostly on my forehead or around my mouth, on those days I usually reach for this product which does a very good job at making my skin radiant from it's sheen and it really leaves a smooth finish and it stays that way for the whole day. You could use it as a primer I guess but don't expect it to fill your pores like the actual primers, it just really helps you have a smooth canvas.

Vaseline Intensive Care Healing Musk: Not drawing away from skin care, this next favourite is a body lotion that again I rarely find a lotion that I really like, especially living in a tropical country, although I live in a rather quite cooler place in the country, I still go to school everyday in the city and I can never use a thick and greasy lotion that's why I fell in love with this because it's very hydrating and thick yes but it leaves a soft finish that doesn't feel heavy at all. Also, my favourite scent is musk so that's a big plus as well!

The Body Shop Shea Shower Cream: The very last thing on my list is an in-shower favourite which I find myself reaching over and over again this past month. First thing is that it smells great. It has a very clean and relaxing scent for me, hence I find it best to use during the night time, plus it leaves my skin extremely soft and smooth, perfect for a good night sleep.
