1. Always choose to be HAPPY
Happiness is a choice and is something you can actually find in everything. Whether it maybe in a simple situation that favoured you or even just a cute dog you saw at the street. Happiness follows you every second of every day, you just need to pay attention. Always look at the positive side of things, and as a pessimist, this is actually hard for me BUT, I'm working really hard to have that 'optimist prime' attitude.

2. You're not required to conform with the norm
Just because it is for most people, remember that some things aren't just meant for you, and it's okay. Don't condemn yourself for failing a subject that your classmates love or for not enjoying the parties your friends actually like. Follow the wave of your own ocean. You are not born to trace the path of someone else's footsteps but to create your own instead. You are supposed to be the own you, so you go spread your wings and be the best you.

3. Always bring a powder or a fan
I'm born and raised here in this beautiful tropical country known as the Philippines. It's hot and you're always sweating whenever you're outside, especially when you're always on the go, and when I say 'always on the go' I mean when you're a daily commuter, and I am one of those people. Luckily, I've managed to discover a precious invention called baby powder and fan. #MrtLrtNecessities

5. Reward cards are useful
Whether it is an advantage card from the nearest mall or department store from your house or your favorite coffee shop. It is helpful, since 18 is the legal age, I am quite near at being called as adult. Every time I shop, eat and even go to a petrol station, I could earn points that is convenient for future use, I could also get different advantages and benefits from it. Yay.

6. Strive for your PASSION
Finding and knowing your passion comes naturally, but pursuing it requires a lot of work. For me, the course I am currently taking up is no way related to my passion, which is photography. I want to capture priceless moments I witness in my daily life, the captivating scenery I see form the different places I've been. I want to create art and tell stories through photos and videos. Since I'm still on my mobile photography game, I'm saving up to buy my own camera and equipment for the future.

7. It's A-OK to wear make-up
Don't be ashamed to wear make-up and other cosmetics product. Don't listen to people who says that wearing make-up is being such a high-maintenance girl. Sometimes it may actually help you boost your confidence. Just remember that wearing make-up is a way to ENHANCE your features and not cover them.

8. PRAYER is always the key
Problems is a normal thing for everyone. There is no one in the world who doesn't have any problems. Simple or complex, everyone is trying to solve and get over through something. From heartbreaks, to financial problems, all of this could be solved by humbling your self to the Lord and asking for guidance and help. 1 Peter 5:7 "Cats all your anxiety on Him, because he cares for you"

9. Books are still better than ebooks
Fine, if you're in a student budget like me, ebooks are more convenient than actual books. I'll admit, I use kindle once in a while, specially when the books I am looking for is not available just yet in my country. But, I find reading an actual tangible book gives a different feel and appeal to reading, and let's us not forget to mention how good the smell of books are.

I do believe that you need to be comfortable to enjoy any occasions you're at. I care about how I wear ALL THE TIME, even at home. Although I don't consider my self as a fashionista, I still like to dress well. Some may say that "tiis ganda" is a statement everyone could relate to, but no really, I could dress well without wearing those uncomfortable 6-inch heels. Sometimes it is as simple as to just choosing the right material used in the product. Personally, I am a T-shirt-Jeans-Chuck Taylor type of girl, but I do wear heels at times needed, but I make sure I am comfortable with them.

All my life I've lived by a code; and the code is simple: Honour the Gods, love your woman and defend your country. Just kidding, the code is 'Quality over Quantity'. I shop.... a lot and often time you might say that I'm one impulsive buyer. The reason behind it is that I buy a something I know is quality wise and hard to find. I mean, you'd rather have that one gorgeous versatile piece of clothing that will last a loooooong time than have tons of clothes that colours will soon wear off. You get what mean? You do? Good. Keep that in my mind.

I am a very sensitive person. I get upset easily and many things frustrates me. So calming my nerves is a practice that I N E E D. You might want to do it rather than burst out and cry then regret it later.

13. Pants are way better than shorts and skirts
C O M F O R T A B L Y S A T I S F Y I N G. No need to worry whether some things that are not supposed to be seen are on sight because your skirt or shorts are too short. No Mosquito bites at night, no too much tanning form the sun that is brightly shining outside. Yaaaas.

14. Give time for your family
I am young, and is in a relationship. I know, I know, but I am trying my best to keep it everything in balance, I do fail, at most times actually, but with a little W.O.W (Words of Wisdom) from my sisters shook my head into reality that my family, specifically my parents won't be by my side forever and that while I am still young I should make the most of my time with my family, which leads to #15

It's a small yet really sweet way to just express your love and gratefulness to the ones who raised you into a wonderful person you are right now.

16. You'll always find your way back home
No matter how astray you get in life, you'll always comeback to your roots. You will always find the one that had get your engine started. You would definitely remember why are you did you do this thing or that thing in the first place. Sometimes it takes time, but your errors will eventually lead you to the the right path where you belong.

No matter how techy your school gets, with those easy and convenient power points for your lecture, you still need to transfer them on paper. By writing and not printing. Your brain may actually remembers more when you write down notes than just taking pictures of them and reading them after.

18. Don't grow up, it's a trap
WARNING! DO NOT GROW UP IT IS A REAL TRAP
Fine, being in a legal age could have the joy of being able to drive and moving into your own house or apartment but it's also a big nightmare of responsibilities and not being able to play on your favorite inflatable playground or sleeping in the sofa and waking up in your bed. For me at least, I HATED college. High school and elementary school are waaaaaay better. If I could stay 16 forever I would. Trust me.
